Loose Leaf Organic Tea FAQs
What makes tea organic?
Organic tea is grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers. It follows strict farming practices certified by bodies like the Soil Association or USDA, ensuring it’s free from GMOs and chemical residues.
Is organic tea healthier than regular tea?
Organic tea often contains fewer chemical residues and is grown using more sustainable practices. While health benefits vary by tea type, organic farming supports cleaner soil, water, and biodiversity.
Does organic tea taste better?
Taste depends on the tea itself. Many organic teas are exceptional in flavour, especially when they come from small farms focused on quality. However, some non-organic teas can still taste fantastic if grown using good practices.
Are all your teas certified organic?
Not all. At Porter Hill, we stock both certified organic teas and exceptional non-certified teas from trusted small farms that grow without chemicals but can’t afford certification. We’re always transparent about sourcing.
