It’s July 2011 and I’m 23. The breathtaking Cameron Highlands of Malaysia is where my love for tea begins. A local friend took me on a moped tour around the highlands and together we indulged in some of the most incredible and memorable tea of my life.

A full decade later, November ‘21 and I am touring tea estates in Sri Lanka seeking out the finest Ceylon. Over the following year Porter Hill is established and, after a brief stint being based in my garage, I move into the beautiful Victorian Byram Arcade of my home town Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

The ambition of Porter Hill is to offer incredible loose leaf teas and tisanes from around the world, ethically sourced and carbon offset, all while making loose leaf tea accessible and affordable to all.
