Lots of mass-market flavoured teas lean on artificial flavourings because they are cheap and reliably strong. They are regulated, but we know many tea drinkers would rather skip synthetic extras — especially when they can make an ingredient list harder to understand or drown out the tea itself. We would rather let the good stuff do the talking.
So our blends start with carefully chosen tea leaves, fruit, flowers, herbs and spices, with every ingredient listed on the product page. You can see what is in your cup before you buy it.
Sometimes dried ingredients alone cannot hold a clear flavour from batch to batch. That is where a little natural flavouring helps keep notes such as bergamot or fruit bright and recognisable. Natural flavourings are concentrated preparations made from natural sources using recognised physical, enzymatic or microbiological processes. They support the real ingredients rather than replacing them — and every Porter Hill tea, including every natural flavouring we use, is suitable for vegans.
Packed by us in Yorkshire Your tea is packed by our Huddersfield team — the same people who know it, brew it and sell it in our shop.
Porter Hill started in Matt’s garage and grew into our shop in Byram Arcade, Huddersfield. We still pack online orders here by hand. That means real people check your tea, prepare your parcel and send it off with the same care we give customers at the counter.

UK orders up to 2kg, excluding trade orders, can travel by Royal Mail first or second class. Second class is £2.95 up to £34.99 and free when you spend more than £34.99. Royal Mail usually delivers second-class parcels in 2–3 working days after dispatch.
