Botanical Tea Favourites from Our Counter

These are the herbal teas we reach for most often behind the counter. The collection brings together caffeine-free blends we genuinely enjoy drinking, from floral chamomile evenings to bright Lemon & Ginger mornings. Each one is hand-packed here in Yorkshire and chosen because it tastes good, not because of passing fads.

You will find single-ingredient classics like Organic Chamomile Tea and Organic Hibiscus Tea alongside blended infusions such as Sweet Dreams, Glow, and Dandelion Detox. Mint lovers can pick between Liquorice & Peppermint Tea and the pure simplicity of Mint Mix. Meadow Morning Walk rounds things out with a gentle, grassy character.

If you prefer tea without caffeine but still want flavour that holds your attention, this is a sensible place to start. Every blend brews well with freshly boiled water and needs no milk, though a spoonful of honey never goes amiss.

How to choose

01

Start with your mood

After something bright and citrusy? Lemon & Ginger cuts through. Want calm, soft notes? Chamomile or Sweet Dreams sit quietly on the palate without any sharpness.

02

Think about sweetness

Liquorice & Peppermint carries a natural sweetness from liquorice root. Hibiscus leans tart. Knowing your preference helps you avoid surprises in the cup.

03

Consider iced brewing

Hibiscus is described as exceptional over ice. Mint Mix works well chilled too. Steep, strain, chill, and you have a refreshing jug ready for warm afternoons.

Good questions

Things people ask us in the shop

Are all these teas caffeine free?

Yes. Every tea in this collection is naturally caffeine free because none are made from the Camellia sinensis plant. They are herbal infusions, sometimes called tisanes.

How long should I steep herbal tea?

Most herbal blends do well with three to six minutes in freshly boiled water. Longer steeping rarely turns bitter the way black tea can, so feel free to leave them a little longer if you prefer a stronger cup.

Can I add milk to herbal tea?

It is not traditional and most herbals taste best without. If you enjoy creamy drinks, the Liquorice & Peppermint or Mint Mix work surprisingly well with a splash of oat milk.

How should I store loose leaf herbal tea?

Keep it in an airtight container away from direct sunlight and strong odours. A cool cupboard is perfect.

What is the difference between herbal tea and tisane?

They mean the same thing. Tisane is simply the French term for an infusion made from herbs, flowers, or fruit rather than tea leaves.
