How do you brew?
Tea pots, baskets, tea bags - oh my! How do you choose the perfect brewing method for you?
The Classics
Teapots are a great option - they give the tea leaves lots of space (and more space = more flavour!), they can keep your brew nice and warm and you can make more than one cup at once. Cast-iron teapots can be heated on the stove, keeping them even toastier for longer, and are a really hardy, long-lasting option. Ceramic teapots are fantastic too, and are great at holding heat when pre-warmed with a little hot water. We love these FORLIFE Stump teapots - they come in a rainbow of colours to suit every home!
Only making one cup at a time? Basket infusers pop right over your mug, are super easy to clean and make just one brew at once - easy peasy! A great option for folks starting their tea journey.
On the go?
Reusable teabags are a fantastic option if you need something small and lightweight, ideal for jet-setting tea-lovers! Although they’re not our favourite method for extracting all those delicate flavours, we love that this is a plastic-free choice, giving them a huge advantage over disposable, single-use teabags (which are often unfortunately often laden with tiny pieces of plastic). They’re good for herbal and everyday teas, although they can be a little fiddly to clean. And a bonus - they’re compostable!
Ball infusers are even fiddlier to clean, and don’t give the leaves much space - a basket infuser is a roomier alternative that’s super easy to clean!
Hope this helps you make the dive into the rich world of loose-leaf tea, but if you’re not sure what to go for, or just fancy a natter or a taste of something, pop in and see us!
