Loose Leaf Tea Starter Kit

If you’re new to loose leaf tea then you’ll need the right brewing equipment. It would make a great gift for the tea newbie in your life or enthusiast alike. The perfect espresso might price-out most drinkers at home, but loose leaf tea offers everyone a luxury cup without the price tag or upkeep of specialist equipment! Our tea infuser kit includes a travel sized infuser, scoop & 75g of loose leaf tea to try.

What’s in The Kit?

Infuser

Loose leaf tea can expand up to three times once hydrated, so needs the room to move, brew & give up its flavour. Our infusers offer the perfect space for your tea leaves to brew which will allow its flavour to develop unhindered.

Bamboo Scoop

There’s nothing worse than when you’re unable to get all the tea from the bottom of the bag. This handy scoop is long enough to reach those last few leaves. Alternatively, very useful for sugar, flour or any other baking ingrediants!

Brew Guides

Each tea comes with its own tea guide to keep you on course. Different teas like different temperatures, & if you didn’t know that then you are at risk of spoiling your cuppa! As simple as pie, each guide recommends the perfect weight, water temperature & infusion time.

What Tea We’ve Chosen

Margaret’s Hope Darjeeling

This second flush darjeeling has been described as ‘the Champagne of teas’ by connoisseurs around the world. With currant-like flavours, this delicate premium leaf is a great introduction to single estate tea. Grown in high altitude fields at Margaret’s Hope estate, this darjeeling has a shorter growing period than most, making it much sought after. Hand processed, the estate has complete control of quality throughout the cultivation period & it shows in the taste. Brew yourself up a copper cup of this tea & wait for the mirabelle plum aftertaste to transport you to the misty mountains of India!

English Breakfast

Our English Breakfast blend combines the best of Kenyan, Chinese & Indian tea leaves. It’s earthy astringency comes from the mix Chinese & Kenyan leave, coppery highlights to prove its provenance, while the Indian assam makes for a malty profile. Well rounded, smooth to sip, this English Breakfast blend is a firm favourite with our customers & a great everyday loose leaf tea to get you in the mood for more!

Sencha Green

From the southern tip of Japan, cultivated by master-growers in Kagoshima Prefecture, comes our Sencha green tea! Unlike its toasty Chinese cousin, this green tea is light & refreshing owing to it being steam-fixed. Marine flavours come through in the first cup, but upon a second & third infusion you’ll be transported to the fresh tea fields & grassy aromas of Japan.
