Oriental Beauty Oolong

This unique and speciality loose-leaf tea possesses a honeyed sweetness and fruity character which is the result of an intricate process. Tiny green leafhoppers, known as tea jassids, delicately nibble on the leaves while still on the plant, initiating an oxidation process that enriches the tea with polyphenols. The result is a remarkably smooth and fruity profile which enchants the senses.

Also referred to as Dongfang Meiren or Bai Hao ('white tip'), our Oriental Beauty Oolong is cultivated in the picturesque Hsinchu County area of northern Taiwan. True to its Bai Hao name, it is crafted from select shoots containing one bud and two top leaves, ensuring exceptional quality.

Harvested in the summer, this single-origin Oriental Beauty undergoes just the right level of oxidation to produce a light amber infusion. Delight in its complex honey flavours and subtle hints of dark cherry and cacao that dance on the palate with each sip.
