Gyokuro is comprised of single buds harvested exclusively throughout March and April, the prime season for Japanese green tea leaves. These small, tender Japanese green leaves are highly fragrant. They undergo a light steaming process, resulting in deep, forest green leaves that brew a cup with remarkable depth and a unique character.

Fine leaves yield a rich green infusion and an earthy character packed with umami flavour, awash with oceanic, vegetal, notes and a full-bodied mouthfeel.

Ingredients: Premium Japanese green tea

Origin: Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

The perfect cup:

  • 1 teaspoon per cup

  • 70° water, or a few minutes off the boil

  • Infuse for 2 minutes
