Herbal Tea Blending FAQ

How do I make my own herbal tea blend?

Choose a base (like rooibos or honeybush), add one main flavour (mint, apple, hibiscus), then add 1–2 accent ingredients (like ginger, lemongrass, lemon balm). Start with a 60/30/10 ratio and tweak from there.

How much loose leaf should I use per cup?

Use 2–3g per 250ml (about 1 heaped teaspoon). Herbals usually taste best with a longer steep (5–10 minutes).

Can I make a caffeine-free blend?

Yes—most herbal ingredients are naturally caffeine-free, but for a boost of energy you can add green tea or maté.

What are the best ingredients for a bedtime blend?

A gentle base plus soothing botanicals works best—try chamomile and lemon balm, then add a soft flavour note like spearmint.

What if my blend tastes too strong / too weak?

Too strong: reduce intense ingredients (mint, cinnamon, ginger) to 5–15% of the mix.

Too weak: increase your base and steep longer (6–10 mins), or use slightly more leaf.

How should I store my blended tea?

Keep it airtight, cool, and out of direct sunlight. A tin or sealed pouch is ideal.

Is this a tea blending kit?

It’s a build-your-own blending kit: you choose the exact ingredients you want, and we pack them fresh so you can blend at home.
