A deep steel basket that gives loose leaves room to open, with a lid that keeps the heat in and then catches the drips.

The basket drops into your mug, cup or teapot and the two flat wings rest on the rim. Spoon in your leaves and pour. Pop the lid on while it brews. When it’s ready, lift the basket out and stand it in the upturned lid, so it doesn’t drip on the table.

The fine 0.5mm mesh holds back most leaf grades, and the basket sits deep enough to steep a full mug.

    Infuser

    I bought this for my husband to use with the Earl Grey tealeaves (which are perfect)!

    It's the best infuser we have had, the leaves stay inside with lovely brewed clear tea, no bits! Delighted with this anniversary gift for my husband!

    Tea strainer

    In my view, this is the most sensible tea infuser/strainer on the market because:

    a) the top is wide enough for a teaspoon of tea to be placed in it without spilling the leaves. Too many tea infusers have narrow tops and cause leaves to be spilled as you're putting the leaves into them and therefore cause a job of clearing them up

    b) the holes are big enough for tea to be properly infused but small enough to stop all but the smallest 'dust' exuding into the mug and, therefore, leaves spoiling the last drop of tea to be drunk because the leaves intrude into the last sips.

    c) when the infuser is removed from the cup/mug it has its own portable receptacle. Hence, you're not having to use an extra cup/saucer/mug etc to put it in or wander to the sink with it cupped in your hand to stop drips.

    d) it's stainless steels rather than plastic and thereby avoiding forever chemicals and the taste of the plastic detracting from the taste of the tea.

    e) it's easy to clean because the holes are too small to allow big leaves to get stuck in the holes.

    f)it's strong and, hence, durable rather than being made of flimsy mesh.

    Very good quality

    This is a very sturdy basket infuser and the lid is a great addition as it means you can infuse the tea without it going cold. I definitely recommend it. Ones I have had in the past have been flimsy by comparison
