Pure peppermint leaf: crisp, cooling and much fuller than a supermarket tea bag.

The story

Discover your next herbal favourite

Crisp, cooling and wonderfully refreshing. Peppermint Tea delivers a fragrant mint aroma and a bright, clean cup made from pure peppermint leaves.

Naturally caffeine-free, it is a classic after-dinner choice and a welcome afternoon refreshment. Enjoy hot for its generous aroma, or pour over ice for a lively mint drink.

How to brew it

How to brew a proper cup

01Hot

Amount
1 teaspoon (about 1.5g)
Water
Freshly boiled, 100°C
Time
3 minutes

Longer steeping brings more menthol intensity.

02Iced

Amount
2 teaspoons per 300ml
Water
Freshly boiled, 100°C
Time
4 minutes, then chill

Brew strong, pour over plenty of ice and top up with cold water.

03Cold brew

Amount
2 teaspoons per 500ml
Water
Cold, filtered
Time
8–12 hours in the fridge

Gentle, mellow mint with less punch. Lovely on a hot day.

Shop tip: Keep the lid on while it steeps to trap the volatile oils and get the full cooling effect.

Late evening wind-down

Caffeine-free and naturally light, so you can put the kettle on as late as you like without thinking twice.

Mid-afternoon desk break

That cool menthol lifts you out of an afternoon slump without adding any caffeine to the mix.

Good questions

Things people ask us in the shop

Does peppermint tea contain caffeine?

This herbal infusion is naturally caffeine-free.

Should I add milk?

Best without. Milk dulls the fresh menthol character. If you want a creamier herbal cup, try something like rooibos instead.

How many cups will I get from each size?

At about 1.5g per cup, 50g makes roughly 33 cups and 100g about 66 cups. Adjust the amount to suit your taste.

Can I brew it more than once?

You can get a lighter second steep, but most of the flavour comes out in the first brew. Add an extra minute if you try a second round.

How should I store it?

Keep it sealed, cool and dry, away from heat, sunlight and strong aromas. A cupboard away from the hob is ideal.

    Excellent Stuff...

This loose peppermint tea is infinitely superior to my usual peppermint tea bags. Not only in taste but in the efficacy of its easing digestion after a meal.

    Great quality

I drink peppermint tea to sooth the discomfort after meal, eg bloating in the stomach and intestine. Had been drinking the popular 'T' brand which helps mildly. The tea from Porter Hill is of higher quality. It solves my bloating problem. The delivery is quick and came in good packing. Will definitely re-order from Porter Hill and may probably order the dandelion detox as well after trying the sample. Love them!

    Peppermint tea

Now this proper peppermint tea! Not crumbled to fine dust like other loose teas I have bought. It smells amazing and tastes great. Plus the sample of mint choc was very well received.. it's so good I bought more.. and my teenage son who smelled it and said ' hmm smells a bit weird', told me it was absolutely lovely after having a cup..
