What Is Turkish Apple Tea?
Share
Turkish apple tea is a fruit infusion rather than tea from Camellia sinensis. Recipes vary: some are built from apple pieces and hibiscus, while others use granules or added flavouring. Read the ingredient list rather than relying on the name.
What does it taste like?
Expect sweet apple, bright acidity and a red or amber cup depending on the blend. It works hot, chilled or poured over ice.
Does it contain caffeine?
A fruit-only blend is naturally caffeine-free, but always check the ingredients because products differ.
What we do not claim
Turkish apple tea is not a digestion, inflammation or sleep treatment. During pregnancy, the NHS says research on herbal teas is limited, advises no more than four cups a day and recommends checking ingredients carefully. Ask your midwife or GP if you are unsure whether a particular blend is suitable.
