Golden Heaven Yunnan comes from a brief picking season in early spring, when the new growth in Yunnan Province produces an unusually high proportion of golden tips. These tippy leaves are hand-harvested and graded Special Tippy Orange Pekoe, a mark of quality you can see in the mottled gold and brown of the dry leaf.
In the cup you get cocoa-like depth, a subtle maltiness and a honeyed sweetness that lingers without any harshness. It shares some character with a good second-flush Assam but stays smoother, never veering into bitterness even if you steep a little long.
