Broken Orange Pekoe is a leaf grade, not a flavour. The leaves are smaller than whole-leaf grades, which means more surface area meets the water and the tea gives up its flavour faster. Two minutes gets you a full, bright cup. No waiting around, no fuss.
Nonsuch Estate sits high in the Nilgiri hills of southern India, where cooler temperatures and good rainfall make for clean, lively teas. The liquor is bright and coppery, with a floral lift and a citrusy hint of orange blossom that sets it apart from maltier Indian blacks.

What does BOP mean?
Broken Orange Pekoe is a tea grade. The leaves are broken rather than whole, which gives more surface area and a faster, stronger infusion. It is about leaf size, not flavour or quality.
Does it contain caffeine?
Yes. Nilgiri black tea contains natural caffeine, roughly similar to other black teas. A good choice for mornings or early afternoons if you are sensitive to caffeine later in the day.
Can I drink it with milk?
Yes. A splash of milk works well, especially if you steep it a little longer. It is also lovely on its own if you prefer a lighter cup.
