Black tea, green tea and maté
Black Tea, Green Tea & Maté
Compare black teas, Gyokuro and plain or roasted yerba maté by flavour and brewing style. The selection ranges from malty and cocoa-like notes to savoury green tea and earthy maté.
Our collection spans styles and origins. Golden Heaven Yunnan brings honeyed sweetness with cocoa-like depth. Milima GFBOP from Kenya is bright and brisk, ideal with milk. For something different, Roasted Yerba-Maté offers toasty, slightly creamy notes and a distinctive character all its own. Compare the tasting notes on each product page to choose your next cup.
Caffeine varies with the leaf, serving size and preparation. Choose for the flavour you enjoy and follow each product’s brewing directions.
How to choose
Compare preparation
Black tea, Gyokuro and maté need different preparation. Use the water temperature, amount and timing on the individual product page.
Consider milk or not
Milima, Nonsuch Nilgiri and Santosa take milk beautifully. Gyokuro and Yerba-Maté are best enjoyed without. The flavoured black teas like Tiramisu work either way.
Think about flavour preference
Want pure tea character? Go for single-origin like Keemun Panda or Golden Heaven Yunnan. Fancy something sweeter? Black Forest Gateaux or Mint Choc Chip add a playful twist.

Green Tea Caffeine: How Much Is in Each Type, by the NumbersDoes loose leaf tea have more caffeine than tea bags?
Format alone does not establish caffeine content. The tea, amount used and preparation all matter. Check product-specific information rather than assuming loose leaf or bags contain more.
Which tea has the most caffeine?
The available product information does not support a numerical ranking across this selection. Caffeine varies with the product, serving size and preparation.
Does strong flavour mean more caffeine?
No. Flavour strength is not a measure of caffeine. Compare tasting notes separately from the product’s caffeine information.
How should I brew these teas?
Follow the individual product’s amount, water temperature and steeping time. These styles need different preparation, so one recipe will not suit every tea.
Can I serve these teas iced?
Follow the product’s brewing directions, then cool and serve over ice. Check for product-specific cold-brewing instructions before starting with cold water.
